1992 Aydar Gaynullin received a scholarship from the International Charity Foundation "New Names". In 1994 he became a laureate of the Russian Cultural Fund and the International Association of the "New Names" Foundation, which earned him an entry in the President's "Golden Book". From 1996 to 2000 he attended the Schnittke Music College in Moscow (class of A. Ledenyow) and then the Russian Gnessin Music Academy (class of Prof. Fridrich Lips). In 2003 Aydar Gaynullin was elected honorary member of the conservatory in Kaunas (Lithuania). He is a scholarship holder of the foundation of M. Rostropowitsch, Friedrich Lips, as well as the Russian Interpretation Art. Since 2010, the artist lives in Berlin and gives guest performances on renowned stages worldwide.
In his Russian homeland, Aydar Gaynullin has long been a star, and in many other countries, the accordion virtuoso has also long since made a name for himself: he has appeared on various TV shows with Anna Netrebko, Mstislav Rostropovich, the Luxembourg Symphony Orchestra or Martina Gedeck, and played for Mikhail Gorbachev, Vladimir Putin, Jacques Chirac, and Spain's Queen Sophia.
To experience Aydar Gaynullin live is a small sensation: Powerful and at a breathtaking virtuosity his expressive artistic energy discharges into the buttons of his accordion, and within a very short time his audience is carried away. Besides classical music and tango, he plays jazz, ethno-folk, rock, experimental music and often performs crossover projects. Gaynullin writes music for theatre pieces and films that have won awards at international film festivals in Venice, Moscow and New York.
